Hi, I am Poorani, and I grew up in Auroville from childhood and I’m Aurovillen too.
I started a small canteen in Auroville Town hall two years ago. It was finally possible to share my passion for cooking through this canteen, called Virundhu, which is a Tamil word and means feast… Recently I learnt that I have to pay an impossible amount in auroville contribution which is not informed me arrears, which was a big shock and might force me to close down the canteen. Christopher and Virginie have kindly offered to raise funds for me so I can keep Virundhu open. I need 180,000 rupees to clear the debt. I have been working day and night to make more money during the guest season.
